A New Design - Spunky - the definition of Spunky -

It all started with the fridge magnets ....

It all started with the fridge magnets ....

For the last couple of years (until earlier this month) I have served as the marketing and public relations director for a tractor and equipment dealership.  Over and OVER again, one of the marketing companies that would call was one that sold magnets.

I told them over and over again that if we sold pizzas or something of that nature, then a fridge magnet would be a delightful

place for us to be - but generally with an item as large as a tractor; one does not look to their fridge for a decision.

ANYWHO - among close friends we all joked about my frustration with the magnets.

As I pondered some thoughts regarding my photography and my designs, I thought to myself how funny it would be if I could make my zillions selling magnets....

The idea continued to percolate in my noggin - ::affordable art for your fridge:: - ::scenes from home while you're away:: - the ideas continued to come until my brain was about to burst.

As those ideas started to develop, other ideas started to present themselves - postcards, tote bags, etc.

At present time, I am self-employed for the first time as a "single adult" - I am working nearly around the clock on developing things I've scribbled down on random scraps of paper, making brain flow maps and laying out a plan for the next 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months.

I have an incredible support team and I'm feeling very optimistic about what's to come ....

Let us not forget that what will allow me to continue on with this project will be to book as many photo gigs as possible - KCoJax Candids on Facebook, KCoJax on Blogspot.

The First Big Sale at Flawn Ocho!

Metropolis Bridge - Metropolis, IL
-The Metropolis Bridge Fridge Magnet-
The first sale in Flawn Ocho was made this week!! (to someone besides myself) :)

I have a friend who's not only a train enthusiast, but is employed by the choo choo industry.

I sent him a link to The Choo Choo Collection.  Much to my delight, moments later he messaged me back with delightfully kind words and the news that he'd purchased one of my magnets.

I am immensely pleased :)

If you know a train enthusiast,
send them a link to the EVERGROWING Choo Choo Collection on Flawn Ocho!

Vintage Laughing Lady @ Flawn Ocho

The Vintage Laughing Lady is one of my favorite designs -

I spied this delighted face just as I stepped into the thresh hold of an antique store in Cape earlier this fall.  This little face is actually what really snapped things into action with my Flawn Ocho project.  I was looking at the schematics of selling stock photography online.

As I rattled my noggin for a formula to determine the price, I realized that I must set the price in excess of whatever amount of money I could make off the phone with my own prowess.  I then realized that this could be the image to really get Flawn Ocho going once and for all!

I immediately began working on my own images -
nearly 20,000 that I've taken over the last couple of years and building the Flawn Ocho store.

Flawn Ocho by KCoJax is Now Open!

Some of you who are on my list of contacts on the various social networks may have noticed me frantically working at several projects in the last couple weeks - one of which is my Cafe Press store.

It's called Flawn Ocho - and you can find it HERE

This is the start up of yet one more blog - this one will be aimed at the construction and marketing of the Cafe Press store.  Feel free to trek along with me on this journey - learn where I come up with my designs, how I plan to build my empire and all of the little foibles that come along with that "big chunk o' dream".
