Flawn Ocho on Zazzle

Flawn Ocho came to life for me on Cafe Press.  I've been very happy with Cafe Press for years ... long before Flawn Ocho was ever thought of.  Zazzle, however - a company "similar" to Cafe Press in that they are a "print on demand" company does offer some items that Cafe Press does not.  For that reason I've begun to experiment with a couple of designs on Zazzle and I'll share those with you now!

Flawn Ocho is always growing and changing .. For some time aside from my graphic designs, it has also held a section called KCoJax Local Flavor which features my travel photography. By travel photography I mean anytime I travel out the door.  You'll find not only sections for Nashville and St. Louis, but an extensive section on Metropolis, IL; my hometown.

the Language of Coffee

Coffee Lovers LOVE Coffee in every language! This Flawn Ocho design was created in 2014 and reads "coffee" in many languages.

The Language of Coffee is a new design at Flawn Ocho and it's really taking flight quickly! This design was created as I sat one night doodling coffee words and images.  As I pondered additional terms for coffee the thought occurred to me that I should look up translations of "Coffee" and off I went!

You may or may not have read the Story of the Peace Sun, my most famous painting (if I have a famous painting) that was born in the kitchen of the Ocho out of an absolute overwhelming necessity to paint and an overwhelming lack of money - causing me to cut open every tube of paint I had to get the remaining paint...

May is National Bike Month! Are YOU Prepared?!?!?!

Though I'm late hitting you with it... (You know, I was going to schedule everything out in advance and have posts about bikes and biking also firing off in KCoJax and Nucleus of my Noggin, as well as "songs about biking" in the Ochorific Song o the Day, but you know how it goes...) Anywho - I DID start working with a lot of my biking images in the last few weeks in anticipation of National Bike Month...  National Bike Month began in 1956 in an effort to promote the benefits of bicycling and ENCOURAGE folks to spend more time pedaling than putting... I'm going to check the list to see if we have any events in our Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky neck

One of my all time favorite photos is one of my beautiful and dearly missed blue bike, parked in Dorothy Miller Park at day's end with the Metropolis Bridge in the background...

As a kid I have memories of fishing there with my folks and my brothers... as a teenager I have memories of cool kids going there

A Peak over the Tank - a Very Hot Design this Week!!

I can tell you that I don't make a tremendous amount of cabbage off of my Flawn Ocho designs... I don't even average one sale a week throughout the entire year.  However, lately I've been really working on keeping the designs fresh and keeping the facebook page moving and the stumbleupon going and whatnot... so I've been having one sale every 7 to 14 days and it thrills me immensely!  The most purchased design of the last few sales on Flawn Ocho has been, A Peak over the Tank... I took this shot last summer while Evan and I were exploring in Nashville...

The most popular items have been the oval stickers - I was really tickled with the way the bag and accessories below turned out... and I'll be adding a bit more in this design and possibly creating a bit from the photos I have on hand of Vintage Indians...
